RBHA’s team of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners provide quality care that is person centered. The psychiatric treatment providers assess and diagnose as well as work collaboratively with clinical staff to promote mental health and decrease the stigma associated with mental illness. They perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments, provide ongoing medication management for pediatrics and adults diagnosed with a mental illness and co-occurring disorders, and consult with other treatment providers on the individual’s psychiatric care plan in order to stabilize symptoms and provide integrated comprehensive health and wellness services.
RBHA provides for general nursing support to the outpatient psychiatric clinic including medication and nutrition counseling/education, assessment of medication side effects, therapeutic injections, collection of lab specimens, and screening EKGs. Nursing staff also complete consumer nursing assessments, coordinate psychiatric provider scheduling, and complete initial and annual primary care screenings.
