I became a counselor because I believe in recovery, and I believe in hope. When I was diagnosed with Bipolar I in 2007, someone was there to help. I learned that not only can you manage a chronic mental illness, but that you can thrive. I am grateful for the dark times in my life because they give me a passion and a purpose to be a part of the incredible recovery journeys that I have been privileged to share.
