I became a Social Worker because as a young person, a Social Worker had a profound impact on my life, which then inspired me to look into the profession. While I’ve worked with a variety of populations over the past two decades, my passion has long been supporting people with developmental disabilities. I thrive on the challenge of advocating and championing for a huge sector of citizens who tend to be overlooked by our society. While I enjoy the clinical aspect of Social Work, I absolutely love the “macro” aspect of the profession, having focused my graduate work on administration, policy, and planning. I am so fortunate to be able to put my training, experience, and passion to use every day supporting the people who access REACH services. I cannot imagine doing anything else for a living.
