Primary Medical Services

Learn more about Primary Medical Services at RBHA.

RBHA provides primary medical care and pharmacy services to individuals receiving case management and/or treatment and supportive services from RBHA. RBHA is one of only two Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics in Virginia.

RICH Clinic

In 2013, RBHA’s Richmond Integrated Community Health (RICH) Clinic Initiative expanded and enhanced the primary medical and behavioral health care services at RBHA. Services provided through the RICH Clinic improve health and wellness, decrease emergency room utilization and hospitalizations, and improve the recognition of symptoms of potentially dangerous health conditions. RBHA case managers make referrals for individuals to the RICH CLINIC.

Office Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT)

RBHA offers individuals with opioid addiction the option of medication-assisted treatment via buprenorphine. In addition to medication, individuals receiving treatment in the OBOT Clinic receive individual and group counseling by clinicians and peer specialists, solution-focused brief interventions, care coordination, and monitoring of medication compliance via urine drug screens. In conjunction with OBOT services, clients are able to receive primary medical care services to address other physical health diagnoses. Clients also have the option of picking up medications from our contracted, in-house pharmacy. Pregnant women receive priority treatment in RBHA’s OBOT program.
