Crisis services are provided for children and adolescents 17 years and younger.

A preadmission screening is completed by a certified preadmission screener at the youth’s location to determine whether the youth meets the criteria for psychiatric hospitalization. If so, the youth may be admitted to a local or state psychiatric facility voluntarily or involuntarily. Should a child be admitted for a psychiatric hospitalization the attending facility is required to contact RBHA to discuss coordination of discharge plans and make recommendations.

Contact RBHA by email or by calling 804-819-4000 to learn more about Children's Crisis Services.
