The Developmental Services Division provides a variety of services and supports for individuals of all ages across the life span. Using a person-centered approach, services focus on the specific wants and needs of the individual and their family. Individuals are provided guidance and tools for accessing resources and supports in the surrounding community to enhance their quality of life. A variety of services are provided directly by RBHA or through contractual agreements.

Part C/Early Intervention services assist family members and caregivers in enhancing children’s learning and development through every day learning opportunities.
RBHA is the single point of entry for providing screenings for the Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waivers for both children and adults with developmental disabilities (aside from a diagnosis of inttellectual disability) living in the City of Richmond. In addition to screening services, the Developmental Disabilities (DD) Unit also provides support coordination services to individuals who have obtained a DD Waiver slot.
RBHA provides resources that enhance the quality of life for children with intellectual disabilities and developmental delays in the City of Richmond.
RBHA provides resources that enhance the quality of life for adults with intellectual disabilities in the City of Richmond.
REACH is a crisis prevention, intervention and stabilization system to support individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, providing consultation, mobile support, and therapeutic home services.
