Procurement

The Purchasing function of the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is performed by the Department of Procurement Services under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. The Department of Procurement Services is responsible for the procurement of supplies, materials, equipment and services required by all divisions of the Authority.

The policies and procedures of the Department of Procurement Services have been developed in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Board of Directors of Richmond Behavioral Health Authority and Statutes of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Mission Statement

Procurement’s mission is to assist the Authority in the procurement of quality goods and/or services, at the proper place and time, and in the appropriate quantity to meet the Authority’s needs while promoting maximum competition and Small, Woman, and Minority Owned Business utilization, complying with legal and budgetary requirements, and saving taxpayer dollars.
