Region IV Reinvestment Project
Since 2003, RBHA has been fiscal and administrative agent for a group of programs that serve all seven CSB/BHA’s in the central Virginia region. Services from these programs are available only through referral from the local CSB and are not accessible for direct referral. The Reinvestment Project was created through the closing of 40 beds at Central State Hospital and the transfer of the funds supporting those beds to support community programs. All of the Reinvestment Project programs have been developed to maintain consumers in the community in order to manage the civil population at Central State Hospital at or below the capacity of 100.
